What You Can Do About Your Reoccurring Acne

Blog

Acne that is reoccurring is sometimes something that you may eventually grow out of. However, if you're beyond your teenage years and are plagued with acne, this may be something more serious. Adult acne is usually caused by a fluctuation of your hormones, or sometimes it may be caused by stress. If you are plagued with reoccurring acne, there are a few things you may be able to try at home to get your skin clear. Read on for a few tips that may help you.

Sweat To Clean Out Pores

Sweating may actually help clean out your pores. Sweating from exercise can clear your pores, as it is coming from the inside of your skin to the outside. It can help open up the pores and allows you to clean your skin thoroughly. It can help decrease blackheads and also help with oily skin as well. You need to be sure that after you get in a good sweat, you are also cleaning your skin afterwards with a gentle cleanser; otherwise, you are defeating the purpose of getting your skin clean.

Avoid Drying Out Your Skin

Some people think that if they don't apply moisturizer, or dry their skin out, it can decrease the oil their skin produces and improve their overall look, but the opposite will actually occur. The skin will produce even more oils to compensate for the dryness and you'll end up with more breakouts. You need to keep your skin hydrated, so apply a thin layer of facial moisturizer to your face after you clean your skin. Also, skip using bar soaps and other cleansers that will quickly dry your skin. Another way to keep your skin hydrated is to drink plenty of water each day.

Use A Stronger Acne Medicine

The acne face wash you've been using since you were a teenager isn't going to cut it any longer. You need to use something with stronger medicine in it to clear up your skin. Talk to your dermatologist about what facial cleansers are best for your skin type and for your acne type. The type of acne you have may not even be acne at all, but instead it could be infected pores or rosacea, and you may need something stronger.

If you have reoccurring acne, and you've tried just about everything, you should go to a local dermatologist for help. Your dermatologist can diagnose your type of acne and try different methods to get your skin clear. Contact a dermatology specialist service, such as Hamzavi Dermatology, to learn more.

Keeping Your Wits About You When You Have Skin Problems

It is never fun to wake up and notice a brand new skin issue, but unfortunately, that's what my sisters and I were up against a few years ago when we all realized we had the same skin disorder. It was ugly, it was embarrassing, and it wasn't going away, which really made us wonder if we could continue to go on. We began thinking about ways to resolve the problem, and it occurred to us that we should work with a dermatologist. We met with a medical professional who had a lot of experience in the field, and it was amazing to see how great the results were. Check out this blog for more information.
